Scaniverse - Capture the World in 3D
We're introducing Scaniverse - a LiDAR scanning app that captures the world in 3D.
LiDAR is an acronym for light detection and ranging. It's a surveying technique that uses a laser and receiver to detect and measure the distance to a target by bouncing a laser off the target. It's used in many different ways, but most commonly to calculate the target's location and construct a 3D map.
A LiDAR sensor is built into most modern mobile devices, including phones and tablets, and provides highly accurate location and distance measurements. It's an ideal solution for 3D mapping, particularly for outdoor environments where GPS doesn't provide a reliable solution.
The app is built using a modern 3D scanning platform called Scanwise. Scanwise allows you to build 3D models with high accuracy and control over the process.
Scanning the world is easier with Scaniverse, which uses LiDAR to build 3D models with a high level of accuracy. You can quickly capture scenes in stunning detail by using the app's camera, which can record up to 60 frames per second.
